RIB FEST CELEBRATES ITS 20TH YEAR IN 2010!
Eight Professional National Rib Teams will be offering the very best in BBQ cuisine. Beginning on Wednesday, June 2nd, the streets of downtown Erie, PA will be filled with the aroma of slow cooked ribs prepared to perfection with secret sauces and specialty rubs. This kick-off event to Erie’s summer festival season is also host to delicious festival foods including fresh squeezed lemonade, creamy fudge, candy apples, funnel cakes, roasted nuts, ice cream, corn dogs, roasted corn and so much more! Enjoy all of these delicacies and the pulled pork sandwiches, rib dinners, tasters and ice cold beer on the plaza.
The "RIB Kids ZONE" will feature a selection of child safe inflatable amusements. Mom,dad and the kids can take a tour on the red trackless train. Parents can take advantage of the Ride-a-Ribba-Ramma Sessions. This is an opportunity where kids can ride from 5:00PM till 9:00PM on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday for one low price with two sessions scheduled on Saturday. Tickets are also available for individual rides.
Teenagers and adults can test their courage and skill in the “BIG Kids ZONE” on the challenging Mechanical Bull. The 27 foot high Cliff Hanger Slide will test your fear of heights while you take the 27 foot plunge.
We offer two categories for artistry. Category A includes: The artistic works of both artists and craftsmen at $275 for a 10 x 10 space which includes electricity for lighting. Products must be the hand- made product of the consignee. Kits, items made by other than the participating vendor or re-sale items are not permitted in category A. Category B includes: Manufactured items or products made by persons other than the consignee for sale. Vendor booth space at $675 per 10 x 10 space and includes electricity for lighting. Other booth space sizes are available, contact the producer. In each category, we require a full list of ALL items available for sale.
Performance & Event Management makes every effort to limit “like” items and to strategically place vendors in non-competing booth assignment locations. A representative is on site the full duration of this event to address any concerns or needs.
Event visitors will have the opportunity to cast their vote for their favorite Rib Cooking Team at the People’s Choice Booth. Many drawings, contests and activities are being planned.
This popular family event will also feature Local and Regional Bands showcased on two stages.
